I research policymaking practices on ethical, social issues regarding emerging biotechnology. I’m especially interested in the cultural differences regarding social legitimacy and responsibility surrounding science, policy, and people.
I hope my research, which reflects my personal background as biomedical researchers as well as civil servants in the Japanese government, will contribute to develop a better relationship between emerging technology and our society.
